Here's a great chance to get outside on an easy hike with a great payoff. This is great for beginners, people who just want to try out hiking, or more experienced people looking for a relaxed trip. We will leave campus at 6pm on Saturday to do a short hike up Buck Mountain in Vergennes to watch the sunset. We should be back by around 9 leaving plenty of time for people to do whatever it is they do when they're not hiking. Sign up here.

We'll leave Middlebury at 10 am and return around 4:30, spending the day (about 3.5 hrs) enjoying and playing in the inlets and coves of Chittenden Reservoir, located in the Green Mountains. No canoeing experience necessary. We love beginners! And everyone else! Sign up here.
Fortnightly Feature
Spotlight on nearby trails
We are excited to introduce our fourth Fortnightly Featured Trail! MMC loves these trails, and you will too. We choose accessible day hikes that you can hike on your own time.
Skylight Pond:
Skylight Pond is another easy day hike in the Greens that's not too far away from campus. While there's no view at the top, there is (as the name suggests) a beautiful pond and a cabin with a porch where you can have a picnic! The trail is easy to follow and climbs for 2.6 miles through a mossy forest, crossing a few streams towards the beginning. Directions are here--a sign marks the parking lot on the right.
