Natural History Walk Around Midd with Alden and Seb

 Friday, April 8th

Wrap up your week nicely with Sebastian and Alden on an-hour, relaxing walk through the woods along the TAM this Friday! We will meet at 3:45 at ADK and will walk down to the woods behind Ridgeline, taking note of all the things around us. We will provide binoculars and possible hot beverages afterwards if the weather calls for it. All levels of natural history welcome, especially those without experience! Sign up here.
Trail Work on the TAM
with Dorothy and Sophie

Saturday, April 9th

Do some volunteer work right here on campus! On Saturday morning we will walk to the Class of '97 trail and spend a few hours cleaning it up. We will start at 10 a.m. and should be done in time for lunch. Come get outside, move some gravel and make this trail look pretty! Sign up here.

Bald Mountain Day Hike
with Angie and Andrew

Saturday, April 9th

As an online reviewer once said, "Great walk with the family and dogs." On this nice jaunt we will walk over some stuff and then up onto a ridge where, as in life, there will be a few minor ups and downs. There is a nice view at the top. It's about 8 miles round trip. Good times will be had by all who come. Sign up here.

Leisure Bird and Nature Walk
with Alden and Morgan

Saturday, April 9th

Start your Saturday morning off right with a little introduction to birding and the beautiful land that inspired Frost's poetry. We'll leave at 9am on Saturday from ADK and we'll be back to campus for lunch. No birding or hiking experience necessary. Bring your own binoculars if you have them! Sign up here.

Big Day on Big Slide
with Kent and Alex

Sunday, April 10th

Come celebrate the second coming of winter with a lovely day in the Adirondacks ascending one of the 46ers! We'll leave Proctor at 7:00 am and be back at Middlebury in time for dinner. It'll be 9.5 miles of potentially cold and snowy but definitely beautiful hiking! Sign up here.
Fortnightly Feature
Spotlight on nearby trails
We are excited to introduce our second Fortnightly Featured Trail! MMC loves these trails, and you will too.We choose accessible day hikes that you can hike on your own time.
The Gorge TAM:
Take a study break and check out this awesome section of the TAM! The gorge trail is one of the less muddy trails in the area right now and is within walking distance of campus (though there is parking if you want to drive). This trail makes a great running or walking loop through open woods, a cow pasture and above the Otter Creek gorge. There is even a picnic table in the field next to the road on the north side so you can sit and enjoy the sunshine!
