Mini Prezi in the Greens
With Caroline and Joe

Saturday- Sunday, March 12-13
Don't have the time to make it to the White Mountains but still want an awesome adventure on mountains named after privileged dead white men? Come with Joe and Caroline on a "Mini Presidential Traverse," meeting this Saturday morning at 8 am in Proctor. We will start hiking at the famed Lincoln Gap. The plan is to snowshoe in 4.7 miles to the Cooley Glen lean-to, drop packs, run over to Mt Cleveland for sunset, and go back to camp and eat dinner. Then, on Sunday we will wake up and enjoy the sunrise on Mt Grant before cruising back to the van and arriving on campus around noon! Sign up here.
Spring Break Adventure Grants
Spring Break Adventure Grant applications are due by March 11th. For questions, details, and grant application visit our website and click on the Adventure Grants tab!
Fortnightly Feature
Spotlight on nearby trails
We are excited to introduce our first Fortnightly Featured Trail! MMC loves these trails, and you will too. We choose accessible day hikes that you can hike on your own time.
Abbey Pond:
Only a 15 minute drive from campus, Abbey Pond Trail follows a stream up to a beautiful pond. The trail is 4.2 miles long, becoming steep at times but flattening out for the latter half. There are three stream crossings--the first has a bridge, and the other two can be crossed on rocks. Microspikes are recommended, especially for the stream crossings which can be icy this time of year. Click here for directions, and here for a trail map and more detailed description of the route.
Brooker Application
Want to live in a fun-loving house filled with people who appreciate the outdoors? Brooker (the Outdoor Interest House) is seeking applicants for next fall (2016). Anyone can apply, regardless of MMC affiliation. Applications are due Thursday, March 10th. Go/Brooker.
