Contemplative Wilderness Retreat with Jenny and Caitlin
Come spend Friday night up at Lake Pleiad by the Middlebury Snow Bowl! This trip will focus on excellent cooking, loose leaf tea, reflective readings by the lake, star gazing and nature appreciation. Feel free to bring your fishing rod, travel hammock, non-school related book or whatever else you enjoy doing outside. We might do a brief day hike on Saturday. Sign up here.
Mount Abe Sunrise with Emma and Ryan this Friday
 Join us for ANOTHER fantastic sunrise hike up Mt. Abe! 
We'll head out early from ADK at 4:30am on Friday morning to catch a 7:05am summit sunrise. The hike is ~6 miles round trip and we should be back on campus just in time for 9am classes. All experience levels welcome! Be sure to bring some water, a headlamp, and shoes to hike in. Sign up here

Avalanche Lake Overnight with Jing and Andrew
Come enjoy the fall foliage with us in the Adirondacks! We'll hike through the gorgeous Avalanche pass to Avalanche Lake, which we will traverse on a fun trail that includes wooden bridges and ladders bolted to the cliff walls by the water. We'll camp near the lake and head back the next morning. ~6 miles of mostly mellow terrain each day. Depart Saturday 10am and return Sunday 3pm. Sign up here

Fall Break Trip: Great Range Traverse with Andrew, Mike, and Natty
More fall break trips will be announced next week, but if you are looking for a challenging backpacking trip, this is the one for you. Thursday after classes we'll leave to camp out at the trailhead. Friday morning we'll hit Mt. Marcy and finish up at Slant Rock Shelter. Day Two consists of the remaining Great Range mountains with wonderful views and breath-taking fall colors. We'll be back on campus Saturday night. Backpacking experience required. Sign up here.

Submit Photos for the MMC Tastefully Nude Calendar!
Coming this December the MMC will release its annual Tastefully Nude Calendar to help raise funds for trips. If you find yourself in a beautiful location with no possibility of offending any other patrons or inhabitants of the wilderness, please feel free to snap a photo of your beautiful, adequately covered and of age body! Submissions are to be sent to mmc@middlebury.edu; make sure you get them in before December 15th!
