Wednesday Snake Mountain Sunrise with Mara and Emma

Never climbed a mountain before? Like M&Ms and seeing the sunrise? GREAT! Now's your time to shine!!! Get up early Thursday morning with Emma & Mara to go on your first ever hike! We'll leave from ADK at 5am and hike up ~2mi to get to the top of Snake Mountain as the sunrises. It's a great hike for beginners, or if you're nervous about not having gone on a Mountain Club trip before. We'll stroll up to the top, eat some snacks, greet the day, and be back on campus well before 9am classes! Sign up here .

Thursday Camels Hump Sunset with Elana, Laura, and Parker
Start your three day weekend off right with a mountain adventure with three mountain musketeers! We'll head out after classes at 4:15 on Thursday and hike up Camel's Hump to see the sunset around 7:20. Join us in this winter wonderland with a panoramic view. We'll enjoy a fancy French-style picnic near the top (probably). We'll be moving fast to catch the sunset so, hiking experience is encouraged. Sign up here .

Start Getting Stoked
On April 22nd at 7 PM in Dana Auditorium, MMC with the wonderful sponsorship of organizations like Women of Color, The Fireside, and Brooker, will be bringing the film An American Ascent to campus!  The film chronicles the amazing action filled journey of the first full African American expedition team up to Mt. Denali, the tallest peak in North America. The film also brings in the deeply rooted connection of the history of American mountaineering with the Civil Rights Movement and access to the outdoors for all. It is a film you will not want to miss, so mark your calendars!
Here is the trailer if you want to check it out!
