[mmc-l] MIDDVIEW, DAY TRIPS, NORTHERN LIGHTS, KAYAKING, and MORE!

There's been MOO, there's been OINK and now MiddView is back! This year not only will MiddView be offering wilderness trips, but there will also be volunteer trips and exploration trips that will help introduce first year students to community and cultural landscapes of Vermont.  Whether you are interested in leading outdoor trips, exploration trips or community engagement trips MiddView is going to be a great opportunity to expand your leadership skills, meet new people and experience VT.

RATTLESNAKE CLIFFS DAY TRIP
This Wednesday the 23rd; 12:30 departure time. 
Beat the cold with Carey and Nathan on a quick hike up Rattlesnake Cliffs! There's a great view and we'll drink cider after the hike. Email cfavaloro@middlebury.edu to sign up!

SLED LINCOLN GAP
This Friday the 25th; 11:15 departure time.
Join Carey and Emma for an EPIC sledding adventure down Lincoln Gap. This road is closed in winter and becomes the perfect sled track for any willing to hike up it. Email cfavaloro@middlebury.edu to sign up!

Our annual contribution to Winter Carnival is back! Teams of 6-8 people will compete in a series of events, including human dogsled races, tug-of-war, and snowshoe obstacle coursesExpect hot cider, music, and snacks! We are re-vamping our kayak program and are PSYCHED. Email aatwood@middlebury.edu if you want to learn to kayak, already know how to kayak and want kayak buddies/gear, are a super-badass kayaker ready to show off, or just want to watch bombflow videos with some cool kids.

Our trips include Mt. Washington, Mt. Lafayette, the Appalachian Trail, Mt. Moosilauke, the Presidential Range, Mt. Mahoosuc, Lake Umbagog, Mt.  Smarts, Mt. Cube, rock climbing at Rumney, the Androsgoggin River, mountain biking and many others.

Great Summer Camp Counselor Positions Available For Certified Trip Leaders in Hiking, Rock Climbing, Bouldering, Kayaking and Mountain Biking.

 

Camp Location:  Camp Moosilauke is located in New Hampshire on 250 beautiful acres of land. We have an incredible lake and the camp is surrounded by mountains.

 

Camp Description:  Camp Moosilauke provides excellent mountain biking, hiking and canoeing trips. Our trips include Mt. Washington, Mt. Lafayette, the Appalachian Trail, Mt. Moosilauke, Lake Umbagog, Mt. Smarts, Mt. Cube, the Androsgoggin River and many others.  We teach outdoor life skills and leave no trace camping.  We offer all land and water sports with great instruction and competition. Moosilauke is a small camp, which is perfect for counselors who love to do a variety of activities and go on trips. We hire men and women for counselor positions.

 

Hiring Requirements:  Age 19+, Male and female counselors with experience in mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, or a certification in ARC life guarding, WFA or WFR.  We offer a free ARC life guarding certification course.

Salary Range:  From $2,000 to $2,500

Staff Arrival Date:  June 19, 2013

Staff Departure:  August 15, 2013
