Have a great idea for an outdoor trip, but need some money in order to make it happen? Apply for an Adventure Grant through the Mountain Club! The grant can help pay for your gas, food, and camping fees. Financial assistance will be provided on a case by case basis based on the quality of the application, available funds, and Adventure Grant Committee discretion. BOARD ELECTIONS- Revised info!
Election time is upon us! We have lots of graduating super seniors and students going abroad, so we're looking to fill many of positions. If you wish to run for any position with a statement of intent by 5:00PM on November 16th. Elections will be held the week after Thanksgiving (on Wednesday the 30th). YOU CAN RUN FOR A POSITION EVEN IF YOURE CURRENTLY ABROAD. You do not need to be on the MMC Board to run for a board position! 
Positions: President, Vice President, Head Guide, Treasurer, Adventure Grant Coordinator, Canoe Coordinator, Kayak Coordinator, Climbing Coordinator, Cabins and Trails Coordinator, Social Chair, Advertising, Presentations Chair, Website Manager. 

Looking for an on-campus job? Apply to work in the gear room as a gear manager or to design February Outdoor Orientation as a FOO coordinator. Contact with questions.

Overland is hiring exceptional college students to lead our summer programs.  We offer hiking, biking, service, language, field studies and writing programs to students in grades 4-12.  Program locations include New England, the Blue Ridge, Nova Scotia, Western US, Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, South America, Tanzania, Thailand and Europe.  Our staff of 150 leaders and support staff spend 10 days training and 6 weeks leading or supporting  programs.  We are looking for students who are responsible, fun, dynamic and love working with kids.

Bob Lesnikoski of the Vermont Cranberry Co (the only cranberry grower in our state) will give a short slideshow and talk on growing cranberries at his bog in Fletcher, VT at Lincoln Peak Vineyard on Thursday, Nov 17.  He'll also have samples of his cranberry products, and talk about how to prepare and enjoy the fruit.  Olivia's Croutons (New Haven) and Vermont Coffee Co (Middlebury) will also offer samples as part of this Localvore Thanksgiving showcase.  All products will be available for sale.  The localvore showcase runs 6:30-8:00 pm; Bob's cranberry talk is at 7:00 pm.  Free admission.  Lincoln Peak Vineyard is 3 miles north of Middlebury, just off Rte 7 at 142 River Rd.  More information at or 388-7368.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT will be holding a job information session on Wednesday, November 16th at 4:30pm in BiHall 104. Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is a nonprofit, residential summer camp and year-round center serving children and their families coping with cancer and other serious illnesses and conditions. They will present opportunities to work in their residential camp and wilderness program for teens.
